Sessions are slated for early 2004 for an upcoming David Crosby/Graham Nash release. CPR members, Jeff Pevar and James Raymond will join other notable session players Russ Kunkel (drums), Leland Sklar (bass) and Dean Parks (guitars) for the initial sessions. "I'm honored and thrilled to be included in this project. When I think about it, I've been working with Crosby and Nash over 10 years now, so it's nice to be involved in a recording project with this combination." Updates will be posted here when things get underway. ![]() Crosby, Nash, Jackson and JP last year at a benefit in Santa Barbara. Photo: Victoria Smith
Crosby Loggins is in the midst of a recording project of his own featuring original material produced by Jessie and Cros.. "These guys are some of the most talented dudes I have worked with in a long time. We had a blast working together and I look fwd to the lads taking over the world by storm very soon." Interestingly, not only is Crosby's heritage musical (as he is Kenny Loggins son) but Jessie's Dad is an original member of the world reknown band Supertramp. Another vote in support of musical geneology.

Jeff has been involved with the production of a wonderful CD project for the debut release of singer/songwriter, Sofie Reed, who is originally from Sweden, currently living in Colorado. Other musicians featured in this project include Steve Amedee and John Magney (from the Subdudes), Billy Rich (who played bass with Jimi Hendrix for a short time along with Buddy Miles) and of course Jeff, who played all sorts of guitars, mandolin, banjo, lap steel and added some backround vocals for Sofie's tunes. Jeff added, " For lack of other ways to describe her music, her voice is reminiscent of a cross of Billy Holliday and Maria Muldaur with maybe some Nora Jones, Bonnie Raitt and Rickie Lee Jones thrown in...but it's hard to describe really...You just have to hear this wonderful music....It is bluesy and organic. Her voice and music is so compelling and unique. I guarantee you will love it!" More info on release date will be posted here soon.
Jeff has been enjoying the recent varied opportunities to perform concerts with numerous talented musicians from different ensembles. "Working with the MIX has been a wonderful opportunity for me. There is a fantastic synergy between all of us." Jeff reported. The newly formed ensemble, The MIX just completed dates in CO and New Mexico. More dates are being discussed for later in the year. Check back here for updates.
