Jeff and the boyz have played together several times in the past during Little Feat concerts, but this show was supposed to be an acoustic duet concert. Jeff has been doing some recent sessions w/ Kenny Loggins at Brotheryn Studios in Ojai, CA for an upcoming release. On Sunday, August 20th, one of my dear friends and musical collaborators, Patrick Nigro, passed away unexpectedly. Pat and I played together in the Hartford, CT area starting around 1975 in an instrumental jazz band called Crystal Clear that also featured Pat's talented brother, Paul Nigro on sax. Pat and I went on to play in Street Temperature and the Shaboo Allstars together, as well as many other ensembles over the years we knew one another. I will miss him dearly. Pat's surviving brother Michael and a number of us who loved Pat and Paul, are putting together a trubute to the Nigro Brothers at the Elks Club in East Hartford on Sun, Sept 17th, the anniversary of Pauls birthday, to celebrate and honor the Nigro brothers life and to also lend support to Pat's surviving daughter Helen Marie. Please come and support an amazing day of music food and celebration. ![]()
