Jeff Pevar is a partner in a band known as CPR, co-writing, singing and co-producing songs in a band including Rock & Roll legend, David Crosby (The Byrds / Crosby, Stills and Nash), and James Raymond, an incredible keyboardist/composer/singer who also happens to be David Crosby's son. CPR's first trio tour was in January of 1997, a few months after Crosby and Raymond were reunited after over 30 years. Because the musical chemistry was so obvious to them, David, Jeff and James pursued the project, wrote and produced many songs together. The debut CPR CD was recorded at Jackson Browne's studio in Santa Monica, CA and released later on that same year.


CPR's 2nd studio recording,Just Like Gravity, was released in the summer of 2001 and got rave reviews, as well. Jeff co-wrote the single, "Katie Did", with David Crosby (i.e.; Jeff's music, and David's lyrics). "Katie Did" played on hundreds of radio stations throughout the US and Europe. It has been said that JLG shows a maturing of the ensembles compositions and production sense, as well as the CD features the strength of the CPR touring ensemble, including Steve Distanislao on drums and Andrew Ford on bass.

There are currently four CPR CD Releases available:

"Just Like Gravity" - (Gold Circle Records) Released in June 2001, CPR's latest collaborative effort features 12 original compositions recorded at Jackson Browne's Groovemasters recording studio with engineer and CPR co-producer, Paul Dieter.




"CPR" - (Samson Records) Released in the spring 1998, the self-titled debut studio CD was recorded at GrooveMasters studio in Santa Monica, CA. The very first collaboration in the studio from David, Jeff and James features original songs that CPR wrote and/or produced together. Guest musicians include Leland Sklar, Russ Kunkle, Hutch Hutchinson, Luis Conte, and others.

"Live at Cuesta College"- This live CD is the 7th concert that CPR ever performed together. Features David, Jeff and James (CPR) performing at Questa College in San Luis Obispo, CA on Jan 18,1997.




"Live At The Wiltern"- Recorded on Nov 7, 1998 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Joining David Crosby, Jeff Pevar and James Raymond is the rest of the CPR band, featuring Andrew Ford on bass and Steve DiStanislao on drums. (Also featured are some special guests, like Phil Collins, Graham Nash and Marc Cohn). 'Live At The Wiltern" is a terrific sounding double album.

"CPR-Through The Music" is a music documentry that features CPR's debut concert at the 1998 Montreux Jazz Festival with candid interview footage with Jeff, David and James. Produced by Dana Altman of North Sea Films, this was originally released on the now defunct Gold Circle/ Samson Music label. Arrangements are underway to re-release this documentary on DVD. This live concert and documentary of CPR's debut performance at the 1998 Montreux Jazz Festival also includes wonderful interview footage from Jeff, David and James. This was produced by Dana Altman of North Sea Films while CPR was signed to the now defunct Samson Records/Gold Circle Entertainment record label. Word is it is in the process of being repackaged for DVD so we will post updated ordering info as soon as possible.
